Stop being a dork in your emails.
Hi Outlaws,
I hope this email finds you well.
If you didn’t know already, my name is Christian, and I advise people on how to grow their sales and make more money with their business.
Is what 99% of people sound like when they write cold emails.
It’s definitely how I sounded back in the day.
3 things:
Be specific about what you do and who you are.
Be specific about who you’re doing this FOR. (ICP)
"I hope this email finds you well” = INSTANT SPAM.
Specificity is key in cold emails, and in cold outreach in general.
You’re afraid you’ll sound salesy.
But you waste their time. You waste their time rambling about pointless bullshit and giving a fake ass compliment.
Someone DMed me last week: “Your mission to help people become more capable and successful resonates with me”.
I. DON’T. CARE. I don’t care if it “resonates” with you.
The guy asked me for a follow-for-follow, which is already cringe. Regardless, it was drier than his girlfriend’s p*ssy.
Don’t waste people’s time. They’re already busy with 400+ emails/day (that’s an actual fact).
You’ll just end up in their spam folder.
Just tell me that you’re gonna bring in 3 clients/month and boost my revenue by 283% like you did for X client you had. At least now I see your value.
It ain’t that deep.
See ya Outlaws in the next email!
